2022 SAME Camp Season Portal Open

Application Deadline: March 15, 2022

The 2022 Engineering & Construction Camp season portal is officially open!

Please share this with the high school students in your networks. Once applications have closed, Posts will be notified of all the applicants so that you can make any sponsorship selections.

SAME has been supporting STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) events for over 30 years, and conducting camps for more than 20 years. Our camps, in partnership with the military services, are world-class and feature a very impressive record of producing thousands of engineers and STEM leaders. They provide a rigorous experience for students interested in exploring STEM skills and careers. Campers gain a sense of what it takes to become a STEM professional and what options exist to explore that interest from high school to college and beyond.

Each camp offers a mix of hands-on, challenge-based activities that help campers learn fundamentals of engineering and construction. Each camp also offers tours and field trips to area businesses and institutions that highlight their respective technical areas. Individual curriculum activities may vary year to year, but all use a competitive environment to promote growth in leadership, team-building, and problem-solving. The competitive nature helps build camaraderie among the campers and mentors.

Attending the SAME/Marine Corps Engineering & Construction Camp has been one of the most life-changing and interesting experiences I have gone through. Every day, there were so many new and exciting feats to accomplish and concepts to learn. Through the duration of the camp, I was part of the Bravo Squad. It was led by three amazing mentors, and during the week, team-building exercises brought us together as a group and strengthened our teamwork. We may not have been the top team, but we were constant contenders and we had great morale and inspiration no matter what.
