Monday, August 17th: Resiliency and Emergency Response Webinar, presented by the SAME Dallas and Fort Worth Posts
“Texas called disaster capital of U.S.” Dallas Morning News, March 10, 2018
All organizations face risks simply by virtue of operating in an uncertain world. This year has brought home this message. We have all been forced to operate in a COVID world and are thinking about the scenarios embedded in a post-COVID operating environment. Because of this concern we have added several COVID related speakers to the webinar.
Due to the numerous SAME events in the month of August, i.e., SAME Ntl Post Leaders Workshop (Virtual), Industry Day (Virtual), SAME Dallas Resiliency Forum (Virtual), we will not have the normal August monthly meeting.
July 6th Monthly Meeting via Webex: Waters of the United States – An Update, by Peter Chandler, Regulatory Technical Specialist, USACE Fort Worth District Regulatory Division
The Fort Worth Post is hosting a virtual monthly Webex meeting due to COVID-19. What waterbodies are subject to regulation under the Clean Water Act has been debated and litigated for decades. This presentation will provide an overview of where this troubled term has been, where it currently is at, and where it may be going. Discussion of the latest efforts to define it via the Navigable Waters Protection Act will be included.
The Fort Worth Post is hosting a virtual monthly Webex meeting in lieu of the June Monthly Membership meeting due to COVID-19. We’re excited to be able to bring you this timely panel of government agencies to discuss their COVID-19 measures and how their contracting and other operations are being impacted.
