Professional Ethics

Ethics is often referred to as the right or wrong of doing a thing. But what about when things aren’t necessarily black or white? In this seminar, we will define ethics, review the National Society for Professional Engineer’s (NSPE) Code of Conduct and analyze case studies from the NSPE Board of Ethical Review. Participants will each earn one Ethics PDH for attending this session.

Gordon Wells, P.E.
and Stephanie Buckingham, APTD

Gordon Wells, P.E. has many years of successful leadership and management of large, diverse engineering projects and organizations with a strong record of success in program and project management. His project experience includes engineering design and construction, water resources planning, and environmental protection programs in the United States and around the world. Gordon is a former Colonel in the U.S. Army and served as District Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Fort Worth District immediately prior to joining FNI in 2003. He is a Vice President/Principal and West Region Manager, for the firm and actively works in the Water Resources Planning and Design discipline.

Stephanie Buckingham, APTD is part of Freese and Nichols’ Organizational Development team. She is responsible for designing and delivering training for Freese and Nichols employees, clients and community members in the areas where they serve. Her training focuses on Communication, Personality Styles, Emotional Intelligence, and Ethics. Stephanie is a VitalSmarts certified Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability trainer. She also serves on the Association for Talent Development’s Program Advisory Committee for the Annual International Conference and Exposition.
