Join SAME Fort Worth on Monday, May 4th, 2015 for a joint meeting with the Fort Worth Chapter of the Project Management Institute (www.fwpmi.org).   John Bartkus, former President of the Fort Worth Chapter of PMI, will lead an active overview of Facilitative Project Management.

What differentiates Great Project Managers?

Lots of people manage projects.  In fact, to some degree, we all do – whether it’s in our title or not.

How do we drive Successful Projects – ones that achieve sustainable results?

Our speaker, John Bartkus, will share insights on what happens when you bring facilitative skills to the project management party, and how the approach influences the long-term sustainability of project success.

  • What is a successful project?  (Recipe exposed for the not-so-secret sauce.)
  • What makes sustainable agreements and results elusive?
aka: “Projects would be so much easier if it weren’t for all the people involved !”
  • Project Manager vs Facilitator – what’s the difference and where can they be combined?
  • Facilitation for PM’s in the real world – practical take-aways
aka: “Enough theory, how do you actually do that facilitation thing?”
  • Specific techniques to create sustainable agreements and results
