Topic: FEMA Contracting Opportunities and Methodology

Speaker: Carl Tucket, FEMA Region 6 Deputy Logistics Branch Chief

Speaker Bio:

Mr. Carl Tucker is a full-time employee with Region 6 (based in Texas) of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security.  He is the FEMA Region 6 Deputy Logistics Management Branch Chief and lead logistics planner responsible for logistics planning efforts and day to day operations.

Joining FEMA in 2010, Mr. Tucker has served in the RRCC in numerous positions from RSS, RCBD, OSG, External Support and LSC.

Field deployments have normally focused on staging area operations, Disaster Recovery Center operations, and JFO setup.

Before joining FEMA in 2010, Mr. Tucker served 22 years in the U. S. Army with duty assignments primarily in Europe and Africa.  Mr. Tucker has participated in numerous campaigns throughout his military career from Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Haiti, Somalia, counter piracy, Balkans, Macedonia, Operations Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

Mr. Tucker has more than 30 years of experience in Logistics Management.

Sign up to give your Company Elevator Pitch at this meeting! With the intent of making it easier on sustaining members to coordinate the month/ date they will be able to give their annual company elevator pitch, the SAME Ft Worth Chapter will open up a new Eventbrite sign up page located on the Chapter webpage.  The number of speaking firms per month will be limited to 5 so once “tickets” are sold out firms will need to choose another open month.
