Ethics Training for Professional Engineers
Speaker: Gordon M. Wells, P.E.
Gordon Wells has over 44 years of successful leadership and management of large, diverse engineering projects and organizations with a strong record of success in program and project management. He is a recently retired Freese and Nichols Principal and Vice President and has participated in the SAME Infrastructure Forum in varying roles for 22 years.
His project experience includes engineering design and construction, water resources planning, and environmental protection programs in the United States and around the world. Mr. Wells is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and served as District Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District immediately prior to joining Freese and Nichols in 2003. During his tenure as District Engineer, Colonel Wells was tasked to form and lead a team of engineers to plan the reconstruction of critical infrastructure in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He and his team were deployed into Baghdad in early April 2003 with the mission to reestablish power, potable water, sewer, transportation, and hospital services to prevent a humanitarian crisis.
Mr. Wells has a master of arts in strategic planning from the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies and a master of science in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic and State University. He also is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor of science in general engineering.
A registered professional engineer in Texas, Virginia, and North Carolina, Mr. Wells is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, the Army Engineer Association, the Association of the United States Army, and the Texas Water Conservation Association. He is also a member of the National Waterways Conference where he has served as a board member and is a member of the NWC’s Legislative Policy Committee.

Sign up to give your Company Elevator Pitch at this meeting!
With the intent of making it easier on sustaining members to coordinate the month/ date they will be able to give their annual company elevator pitch, the SAME Ft Worth Chapter will open up a new Eventbrite sign up page located on the Chapter webpage. The number of speaking firms per month will be limited to 5 so once “tickets” are sold out firms will need to choose another open month.
