Program: Renewable Energy in North Texas- Featuring Jay Squyres and his Net Zero Home

Join SAME and ASCE Fort Worth Posts on Monday, January 4, 2016 for their annual joint meeting. Take a look at the innovations in renewable energy that are occurring right under our noses in North Texas. Hear how Jay Squyres, a homeowner in Flower Mound, became an early adopter of solar energy for his home and worked through the financing and technical challenges as he established his home as one of the first Net Zero Energy homes in the DFW area. Learn about the North Texas Renewable Energy Group (http://ntreg.org/), a 501 (c ) (3) organization established in 2001 with the primary goal of educating North Texans about the power of renewable energy.

Speaker:  Jay Squyres
Jay Squyres is an Advocate for the North Texas Renewable Energy Group and Administrator of the DFW Tesla Owners Club. He is passionate about sharing his expertise and encouraging others to achieve energy independence. He is a volunteer/Host on the DFW Solar Tour (www.DFWSolarTour.org), a host site where people can see how Solar can lead them to a ZERO electric bill. He also serves as President at Apex Express, Inc., a firm that is “extremely dedicated to solving transportation challenges on a daily basis.”
